Move Out Instructions

Dear Tenants,

As the end of your lease term approaches, we would like to provide you with the move-out protocol and cleaning instructions to ensure a smooth transition. Please review the following guidelines carefully:

Schedule Carpet Cleaning: We have a trusted partner, Guardian Carpet Care, who can provide this service. If you choose to use their services, you can either pay them directly or have the cost deducted from your security deposit. We will handle scheduling unless you'd like to use your own company. Kindly inform us your direction, and retain the receipt for our records.

Deep Cleaning: Before vacating your unit, it is essential to perform a thorough deep clean. Here are some important cleaning tasks to focus on:

  • Floors: Mop all floors and ensure they are free from any dirt or stains.

  • Vacuum and wipe down cabinets, paying attention to removing any crumbs from drawers. Hit the top of the cabinets/oven/microwave to wipe any grease from cooking down.

  • Bathroom: Scrub the toilet and tub thoroughly, ensuring most hard water stains are addressed. If needed, you can use a charcoal pumice stone to assist in the removal of stains, this has helped us in the past.

  • Kitchen: Empty and clean the fridge and freezers, ensuring no leftover items are left behind.

  • Dust and clean exhaust fan vents, outlet covers, and other surfaces.

  • General Cleaning: Dust and clean all surfaces throughout the unit, including windows, light fixtures, baseboards, and countertops. The more meticulous and detailed the cleaning, the better.

Additional Charges:

Please note that any additional costs incurred for garbage disposal, leftover tenant belongings, or additional cleaning requirements will be charged at an hourly rate of $40, which will be deducted from the group deposit. We kindly request that you carefully dispose of all garbage and remove personal belongings to avoid these charges. Move-Out Walkthrough and Inspections: Please connect with us to schedule a move-out walkthrough or let us know if you prefer to bypass this option. If your roommates have renewed their leases, kindly ensure you detail clean your room and personal spaces to accommodate the arrival of your new roommate. While inspections are not mandatory, we encourage you to consider them as an added assurance for a smooth refund of your security deposit.
